Always seeing the wrong things

I've often wondered why it is when hunting a certain animal all you end up seeing is everything there you are not able to hunt.

For example: This last week I went out looking for cottontail rabbits, but all I saw was a BUNCH of quail. Now quail hunting is a whole lot more fun than rabbit hunting, but quail season starts in October...so what the heck.

Here's some other great examples

Earlier this year while Javelina Hunting all I saw were - rabbits, deer, and quail
When Hunting quail last year all we found were doves
When Hunting Dove last year all we saw was quail
When Hunting Coyote (every time last year) I was only able to find rabbits.

It's a sick joke nature plays.
