We're putting in for deer. Trying to get unit 34A this time.
Here in Arizona We have an interesting sub-species of whitetail called Coue's Whitetail. They are typically smaller in size (both live weight and antler size.) Since we're primarily meat hunters, we're not horribly concerned with how big the antlers are. We would like to shoot the biggest one we can find obviously, but we'll take what we can get.
Arizona Game and Fish page on the Coues Deer:
So, my options for these deer are .308 win and .243 win...but we'll save that for another blog.
