The best time of the year

The best time of the year is Autumn. I am very excited for its arrival here in southern Arizona. First of all, the best part of Autumn is the great weather and the gentle breeze that seems to roll through town. I enjoy having to don a sweater or a jacket to go out and about. Best of all fall means family in town and a great transition to the holiday season. Thanksgiving is a holiday involving so many cousins, friends and family with a nice helping of fantastic food that seems to build so many memories. Christmas follows soon after and I don't know anyone except for nutty atheists who don't enjoy Christmas. So much happens in fall. The animals we pursue are available in Fall to chase around, and the scenery is to die for. Honestly, coupling the best weather to hunt in, plus the fact that family is in town to do the hunting makes for such an enjoyable time. The changing seasons soon bring the long wait of Winter and the hunting season ends. This is a depressing time for me. I realize how long I wait for Fall to return again and think of how odd it is that my life revolves completely around a small 3 month period in which I can get out and enjoy what I love to do. Hunting is never about the kill, hunting is about enjoying the hunt and spending time with those who you care about. Make sure you make the most of this Fall and get out and enjoy the weather, the scenery, and enjoy your time with loved ones as the holidays roll around.
