Woke up at 3:15, packed the car
3:55 left the house
5:00 rolled in to hunting area
Sunrise: shot 3 doves then called father in law to tell him to heck with our old spot, this one's got birds everywhere.
15 minutes after I'm done with my call: I have my limit of Doves
1 hour later: I'm home and have enough meat for a meal of 4
Spent 32 shells on 10 doves
Remington 870 - Mod Choke - 1 oz 7.5 shot
Shell/Dove ratio: 3.2 - Much better than opening day.
Now I have to shower and get to work by 9. Not a bad day
