Well, if you've been following previous posts, I swore off Dove hunting until the second season and well ... I lied. I went out 2 more times, once on Saturday with my father-in-law and buddy Vince from School. Today I went out just by my lonesome self and shot a limit on both days. This morning was a little warm but tolerable. Good day overall, only complaint is the doves kept landing in the weirdest spots so I had to search for a few of them.
On Saturday I was able to down a double with my over/under and that's the second this year. I almost had a triple with my 870 earlier in the year but the third shot only puffed feathers off of the dove and he got away.
So now we wait until October for Quail... by far my favorite type of hunting.
